I saw this one the other day. Window sticker price of $58,135, but advertised at $60,009. It looked like the dealer has put on some brodozer wheels and tires.
That’s the first one I’ve seen in person. From the angle I saw it at, the bed’s rear overhang did n’t look nearly as ungainly in person as it does in photos.

I don’t think the rear overhang was the issue, its the ridiculous breakover angle. It has a super long wheelbase to goose the approach/departure angles.

Yep, I was all set to pick one up last week. Then I noticed that the two Jeep dealers nearest to me are listing their only Sport models at a price higher than the Rubicon’s MSRP. And apparently there is not a single manual transmission model available within 500 miles of me.
No thank you.

There are dealerships offering 5% below invoice for internet orders. Check here:

Interesting. It also looks like MT models are not expected until late July/early August. Boo to that!

All 15 prospective buyers are heartbroken.
I’d vastly prefer a manual but the diminished tow capacity and limited engine choices is a bummer.

Towing is of minimal importance to me. I don’t think I would ever be hitching up anything more than a single axle with a jet ski or a tiny UHaul trailer.
